Benefits of Bus Travel for Business Buddies

3rd June 2015

A popular corporate travel scheme run by Stagecoach Yorkshire is aiming to extend to even more business 'friends' across the regional business community.

The Corporate Travel Plan offers businesses the option of purchasing travel vouchers to offer to employees, which can be exchanged on-board Stagecoach Yorkshire buses for either Dayrider or Megarider tickets. The leading public transport operator has now launched a Refer a Friend initiative, offering a five per cent discount throughout June and July on the next ticket order for each current member business which refers another firm on to the scheme. Commercial Director John Young said: -Our Corporate Travel Plan offers staff a greener, more cost-effective option to travel to and from work, as well as for occasional business travel. -Travelling by bus also helps to reduce staff car parking and improves each company's carbon footprint. -Our extensive range of tickets not only save employers money, but the time and administrative costs involved in offering any travel to work scheme to its employees. -We work with some of the region's largest employers and service providers across South and West Yorkshire and North Derbyshire and our simple voucher system is becoming more and more popular with all types of business. -As a result we want to extend the scheme further - and who better to recommend us to their friends than our current corporate customers who are already benefiting.
