BHP celebrates significant growth and promotions within Charity Team

13th October 2020

BHP Chartered Accountants, one of the UK’s leading advisors to the charity sector, are celebrating continued growth within their charity team including two staff promotions.

Both Nicola Adams and Alyson Kimber have received promotions within the team, with the pair becoming Audit Directors having previously worked as Senior Managers. The promotions will allow Nicola and Alyson to lead on charity audits and sign off on their client’s audit reports.

Nicola and Alyson have both been working closely with a portfolio of clients with a specific focus on charities, academies, and not-for-profit clients.

These promotions are the latest in a period of growth for the BHP charity team – which now boasts over 60 experienced staff servicing many of the more significant charities in the region.

Earlier this summer, Senior Manager Rachel Heath became the fifth member of the team to be awarded the prestigious Diploma in Charity Accounting (DChA).

In addition, the charities team at BHP have continued to support their charity clients throughout this difficult period and recently ran a series of training webinars for charity trustees from across the region. Three sessions were held virtually with a total of 296 trustees taking part, which was provided free of charge.

Head of Charities at BHP, Jane Marshall, said:

“We are thrilled to have seen both Nicola and Alyson progress their careers within our charity team. Their success is a testament to all of their hard work and dedication to working within the charity sector.”

Mike Jackson, Charities Partner at BHP, commented:

“At BHP, we’re continuously impressed with the enthusiasm shown by our dedicated charity team in order to help our charity clients. Nicola and Alyson’s promotions are part of our strategy to continue to grow this team and are extremely well deserved.”
