Blades strengthen links with Hong Kong

18th July 2017

International links with Sheffield United have been strengthened.

The Club has welcomed students from the City University of Hong Kong for a tour of the Bramall Lane stadium. Forty guests - part of a language immersion scheme (CALIS) study English in the morning before visiting places of interest in the afternoons and weekdays. To add to their experience, they stay with local families in the City to really get a feel of English culture. The trip to Bramall Lane saw Club Liaison Officer John Garrett and Blades Legends and Ambassador Tony Currie welcome the group to the stadium, with the session being rounded off with a few pictures with the League Championship trophy as special souvenirs The group also visited a local school and brought their skills to the classroom by teaching children to make shadow puppets; the Royal Society for the Blind; the Rolls Royce Aerospace Centre and the Peak District.
