Blades to host evening with Geoff Boycott OBE

9th August 2017

On the 11th August 1977, Headingley, with a century in each of his two recent first class matches, one on his recall to the England side and the other for Yorkshire, the stage was set for a fairytale finale.

Could Boycott record his 100th hundred in front of his adoring home county crowd? Well, we know the answer and Geoffrey will be sharing some unseen footage from the BBC archives and some rare photographs from his private collection in this brand new show. In conversation with BBC Look North and adopted Blades fan Harry Gration, the Platinum Suite, Bramall Lane will once again be the venue for Geoff Boycott as he speaks about his 100thHundred and also his experiences of playing on Bramall Lane in the years when it was still a cricket ground. The evening will commence at 7:00pm and tickets are priced at just £25. A limited amount of meet and greet are available at £75. To book or to sponsor the event, contact the commercial team on 0114 253 7200 (Option 2).
