British Heart Foundation Health and Wellbeing Day
15th September 2014
We would like to invite Sheffield Chamber members to a free British Heart Foundation (BHF) Health at Work taster day at the New York Stadium on Thursday 2nd October 2014.
The event will be open to all local businesses to find out more about how they can support their employees' health and wellbeing and about the BHF's Health at Work offer. You are invited to book a one hour slot to suit your busy schedule. In that hour, you will experience the four health and wellbeing zones (be active, eat well, think well and changing habits). The BHF Health at Work scheme (www.bhf.org.uk/HealthAtWork) can offer a range of benefits to businesses of all sizes. As a member, businesses benefit from: • a free welcome pack, including a 'quick guide to health at work' • regular issues of BHF's Health at Work e-newsletter • free resources and advice on physical activity, healthy eating, mental wellbeing and quit smoking • tools and posters you can download or order from BHF's health at work website • a quarterly member pack • access to Heart Matters a free service for your staff to help them keep their hearts healthy The first 30 companies to sign up for the event will get either a Health at Work toolkit or a workplace pedometer challenge kit free of charge Larger businesses may choose to run their own health and wellbeing day in the same format they'll experience on 2nd October there will be the chance to get information about doing so at the event. Anybody who is interested can sign up for their free slot by calling 01709 255840 or emailing publichealthadmin@rotherham.gcsx.gov.uk
