Business Matters Seminar

19th March 2013

With the Stainless Steel Centenary Celebrations taking place throughout the year, the focus within the manufacturing industry is orientated around innovation and funding for new product development.

Here at Wake Smith LLP, we are delighted to announce that we will be hosting a seminar on Thursday 11th April 2013 for the business community to consider how strategy and planning for R & D tax credits; the Patent box; and applications for grant funding may influence the commercial development of ideas. We'll also provide support from a legal perspective when considering the protection of your intellectual property. Our guest speakers are Julian Moran from North Star Tax and Nigel Foster from MSC Business Innovation who will cover the topics of R&D tax credits, grant funding, and will provide an insight into the patent box initiative. Wake Smith's, Peter Rawlinson, will chair the seminar and comment on relevant IP law issues, and Holly Dobson will be presenting the latest developments on employee restrictive covenants. As with all Wake Smith LLP events, there will be an opportunity to informally discuss any issues with the speakers and network with other like-minded professionals. The event is FREE to attend and will take place at our office on 68 Clarkehouse Road, S10 2LJ. Places are limited so interested parties are asked to register interest by before the end of March to Deena Samachetty on 0114 2666660, alternatively you can email deena.samachetty@wake-smith.com.
