Calling all Sheffield business leaders

7th August 2012

Dear Member, Age UK Sheffield are looking for people with experience of business leadership who might be interested in becoming Age UK Sheffield's new Chair.

Their Chair of the Board of Trustees, Paul Gilmartin, plans to step down in the autumn after nine years and they are looking for people with Board level experience who might be interested in this stimulating and challenging volunteer role. It might appeal to someone looking for a part-time leadership role, or perhaps to someone wanting to expand their horizons. Detailed information about what is involved in the role of Chair and how to apply - click here The charity needs to build its commercial viability while staying true to its values and charitable purpose. With this in mind, the Board wants to appoint a Chair who is at home in the world of business. Ideally this will be someone keen to apply their experience of leading a successful commercial enterprise to help take forward the work of the Board over the next few years. Applications are welcome from people who may have had little or nothing to do with Age UK Sheffield in the past if they have relevant experience at Board level elsewhere. All candidates will be asked to complete an application form. Short-listed candidates will be invited for an interview. If you know somebody who might be interested, please invite them to apply or forward their details to Rosalind Eve, Chief Executive, on 0114 250 2851 or at rosalind.eve@ageuksheffield.org.uk. Best wishes Richard Wright Executive Director
