Catch The Bus Month 2024

15th August 2024

Sheffield Chamber of Commerce is proud to be supporting this September’s Catch the Bus Month 2024 run by Bus Users UK.

“September is Catch the Bus Month. Buses ensure we can all access life’s opportunities, including those of us who are older, younger, disabled or experiencing physical or mental health issues. We want to improve access to these sustainable and affordable services. Why not try them out, try a new route, go somewhere new in September.”

Sam Chapman and Peter Kennan, Joint Chairs of the SY Transport Forum.

The South Yorkshire Transport Forum is hosted by Sheffield Chamber and sponsored by Mott MacDonald. Its mission is to help South Yorkshire be home to one of the best transport systems in the UK.

It plays a leadership role in South Yorkshire by representing the view of business interests engaged in substantive and strategic transport issues.

The forum is committed to playing a positive and proactive role in building a transport system that works for everyone, connecting people to the places they want to go within the region as well as nationally and internationally.

Buses are the most accessible form of public transport, connecting millions of us every day to work, education, healthcare, shops, friends and family. They are also great for the environment, the economy, our town and city centres and our health and wellbeing.
