Cavendish Cancer Care takes its Diamond Ball to Vegas

14th August 2013

The Diamond Ball is Cavendish Cancer Care's flagship event which takes place every October.

This year the Diamond Ball is going all Vegas, with a night of glamour and everything you would expect from a Vegas Casino including picture roulette, blackjack tables, croupiers. This black tie event is hosted each year to raise much needed funds to enable Cavendish Cancer Care to continue to provide supportive and therapeutic care for local people with cancer. Last year the funds raised from the Diamond Ball guaranteed that a further 100 local people were able to benefit from an assessment and a complete course of therapy, to support them through the life changing impact cancer can have on the patient and their families, to provide therapy to give them emotional strength and wellbeing to face the challenges head on. The event is always glamorous and raises funds for a great cause but what gives it the extra sparkle is the auction featuring a real diamond as the star prize. The ball will be held at Baldwins Omega on Saturday the 5th October 2013 starting with a drinks reception from 7.30pm and the five course meal and entertainment will follow. Tickets are priced at just £50 per person with the option of buying a table for £500. If you would like to support this local charity and have fun at the same time, please book tickets by contacting Sally at s.eustace@cavcare.org.uk or call 0114 2754070 for more information.
