Cawa Coffee Sheffield freshly baked high quality pastries

4th September 2024

Cawa Coffee in Sheffield is synonymous for freshly baked high quality pastries as well as their fantastic coffee and as a brand they have grown significantly over the past few years

There are many coffee or bakery franchises on the market but not one that offers both coffee and bakery products.

Cawa has successfully launched their franchise model under the La Croissant brand and are now looking at entering the franchise world. Cawa Coffee have been considering the franchise model since inception as it is a great way to expand and grow the brand. Franchising allows the opportunity to scale the business rapidly without the significant capital investment but also leverage entrepreneurial spirit and the opportunity for someone with business experience to grow a successful business with the support and experience of a successful brand.

Deon Jacobs Business Development Director said;

We have been doing our research and building our franchise model over the past 12 months and we are now ready to launch what we feel will be a very attractive opportunity for the right people. We are shortly going to be announcing our first franchise which will be launched next month, and we are confident of achieving our goal of at least 30 franchises by the end of 2025

There are so many examples of successful franchise models including KFC, McDonalds and Papa Johns just to name a few.

The key considerations to keep in mind when thinking of turning your business into a franchise model are:

  • A solid business model that can be easily taught and has a strong track record
  • Brand strength is essential for attracting franchisees and customers
  • Legal considerations including a well-researched franchise agreement and operations manual as well as a support structure to help the franchisee succeed
  • Carefully selected franchisees who align with the brand but more importantly have experience in the industry to ensure success, this is more important for the Cawa brand than the financial investment as we don’t want franchisees to fail or to damage the brand through ignorance or a lack of experience. (Cawa have decided that we would rather turn away a franchise opportunity unlike some of our competitors than just offer a franchise purely for the monetary gain)

In conclusion, there is a fantastic opportunity for the right applicants to grow a fantastic brand with Cawa
