Chamber launches new service to aid its members to leverage their data for improved performance

10th April 2017

Sheffield Chamber are working in partnership with Fusionex, a leading software solutions provider specializing in data analytics, to offer its members an affordable platform that provides visualisation tools for its users to easily understand their data across multiple information sources.

Fusionex GIANT, the dynamic analytics software, can automatically consolidate information stored on systems such as Excel, Databases, Social Media, EPOS and Google Analytics and displays the information in easy to understand tables and graphs. This enables businesses to easily capture and monitor their performance and to then make informed decisions for future planning. -Most businesses find it difficult to achieve a good understanding of their performance based on concrete facts and figures. We can help to change that with our easy-to-use analytics software, said Fusionex Director of Solutions Andrew Jackson. He explained that one of the uses of Fusionex GIANT include being a modern-day internal key performance indicator (KPI) monitoring and reporting system where results can be viewed from different perspectives at the click of a mouse button. Even the simplest spread-sheet can be given new meaning when plugged into the GIANT system. -Businesses today use more IT systems than ever before to help staff do their jobs. The big challenge is to understand the vast amount of intelligence they create. This is where we can help. Our analytics software is not scary, or complicated. It's designed to be fun, intuitive and achieves benefits for all sizes of business, Jackson added. -The Chamber's main priority is to help and support member businesses and when Fusionex showed us GIANT, we immediately saw the value in it for our members, said Sheffield Chamber of Commerce Head of Corporate Partnerships and Membership Tom Sutton. Sutton elaborated that a large proportion of the Chamber's members are small medium enterprise (SME) businesses which do not have the time or resources to collate the data they produce and monitor their performance. Fusionex GIANT takes over the responsibility of doing the heavy lifting, crunching numbers, and conducting analysis on data so businesses can spend more time implementing decisions. -Fusionex GIANT will enable our members to make more informed and accurate business decisions by cross-connecting data which is paramount when planning future strategies and decisions. What is even better is that it is an affordable piece of software for small businesses, said Sutton. -We as a Chamber are in the process of implementing the software into our own system and I am eager to see the results. We will be able to see overall data trends and drill down on smaller pieces of data in near real time, which will be extremely useful to us when working in a fast-paced business environment, he added. To assist Chamber members with analysing their data, the Chamber Analytics service is provided at every level of Chamber membership.
