Cheers to Safe Journeys: City Taxis join forces with Local Beer Festival to Promote Responsible Rides
1st August 2023
Leading taxi and private hire firm City Taxis has partnered with Abbeydale Road Beer Festival as their official ride partner this weekend.
The beer festival will be taking place on Abbeydale Road from 3rd August - 6th August and will see the street come alive with 12 fantastic venues hosting an exciting line-up of tap takeovers from esteemed breweries such as Triple Point, Heist and Kelham Island Brewery.
City Taxis is supporting the event to help promote 'you drink, we drive', giving people the chance to enjoy the festival and promote local bars across Sheffield whilst having a safe ride home planned.
The firm, recently acquired by the UK's fastest-growing taxi and private hire technology platform Veezu, will have various QR codes dotted throughout the 12 venues for attendees to be able to scan, download the app ad book their ride home after a day of enjoying exceptional brews.
Sacha Skinner, Marketing Manager of City Taxis, said: "We're so pleased to partner with Abbeydale Road Beer Festival this year, ensuring that festivalgoers can enjoy themselves fully by visiting all venues and tasting all the great brews on offer without having to worry about getting home safely.
"Supporting local causes is of paramount importance to us here at City Taxis, and local events like this bring the community together, so we're proud to support them in any way we can."
The weekend festival is spread across 12 iconic Sheffield bars - attendees of the festival are to collect a stamp from each venue; once a stamp from all 12 venues has been collected, attendees are to then attend one of the festivals fringe venues Cole's Corner or Frippery and Nonsense, where they can exchange their completed stamp card for a limited edition festival poster created by Tom J Newell and be entered into a prize draw to win a 1 of 100 "Limited Edition Abbeydale Road Beer Festival 2023 t-shirts" featuring City Taxis logo.
