Award winning social enterprise hospitality events company, expands it's staff team

Since their launch in the summer of 2023, Chef's Counter has seen it's popularity rise for their corporate & private dining, ticketed public dining events, weddings and dine at home meal boxes. With this growth, the social enterprise has expanded it's workforce to now employ 5 permanent members of staff (Chris Hanson CEO / Miriam Berry - Business Development / Michelle Sands - Finance Manager / Lauren De-Souza Dempsey - Customer Service Manager / April Thompson - Events Manager) and a dedicated team of sessional front of house and kitchen staff.

2025 see's Chef's Counter catering for their first wedding bookings as well as expansion of the increasing popular 'Secret Dinner Club' events. These increases in trade have led to Chef's Counter founder and CEO, Chris Hanson taking the decision to expand the core staff team. Chris said "I'm incredibly excited by the growth  we are seeing as a company and to be in a position where we are able to bring  in more specialist expertise and strengthen the staff team".

The social enterprise  prides itself on both the quality of it's food and the social impact it delivers. The social impact includes raising over £15k of unrestricted funding for local charities and community groups, creating supported employment opportunities for more than 20 people who have overcome barriers to employment and establishing sister company, Not Just Pink Custard CIC which is currently working with a number of schools around the region on activities that improve the lives of children and young people.
