City Centre Real Ale Trail

8th August 2013

This ale trail combines pubs, local history and a lesson on Ancient Greek neoclassical columns! Real Ale Trails has teamed up with Rob Haslam, author of Walking South Yorkshire, to organise a city centre walking tour that promises to be entertaining, educational and, of course, thirst quenching.

Our route covers around 2.3 miles and takes in four pubs, street art, an original cutlery works and Rob's own take on the Ancient Greek neoclassical architecture that influenced many of Sheffield's iconic buildings. As with our regular ale trails, the tour includes a drink in every pub, beer tasting with a local brewer and a pie and pea supper. Our real ale tours are ideal for birthdays and celebrations, works outings, group gatherings and quirky days / evenings out.  Book a couple of places for you and a friend or book out the entire tour for that work night out or special occasion.  Perfect for anyone interested in real ale, pubs and Sheffield's rise to becoming the beer capital of Britain. Find out how this city is bucking the trend by reviving pubs and renewing our nation's thirst for great beer. Contact Kristy on kristy@realaletrails.co.uk for more details.
