Owlerton Stadium’s Coffee Morning Raises Over £2500 for Macmillan Cancer Support!
Annie Seymour, tote staff at Sheffield’s popular greyhound racetrack - Owlerton Stadium - has once again demonstrated her unwavering commitment to charity, raising an impressive £2,595 for Macmillan Cancer Support during a recent coffee morning held back in September.
This annual event, organised by Annie, has become a tradition where her passion for supporting Macmillan shines through year after year. The coffee morning brought together Owlerton’s staff, customers, and the wider Sheffield community, all contributing to an outstanding fundraising total that will go towards helping those affected by cancer.
Annie’s efforts were backed by a fantastic raffle, with generous donations from local businesses, including Owlerton Stadium themselves, McDonald's, All Seasons, Veezu, the Rivelin Pub, Dunkin’ Donuts, and Sainsbury’s, among others. The wide array of prizes ensured a lively atmosphere, drawing plenty of interest and support from attendees.
The inspiring funds raised from the coffee morning will go directly to Macmillan Cancer Support, helping the charity provide essential services for cancer patients and their families. Macmillan is known for its work in offering practical, medical, and emotional support to those affected by cancer, and donations like these are crucial for their continued efforts.
