Comedy night raising funds for Sheffield’s NHS returns for 2026

2nd March 2026

After a fantastic debut night at The Leadmill last year, Chuckles for Charity is back and ready to bring even more laughter to Sheffield. On 12th March, the feel-good comedy night will take over Steamworks to raise money for Sheffield Hospitals Charity.

This comedy night with a difference brings together a brand-new line-up of brave local faces who’ll be taking to the stage for the very first time. Armed with nothing but a sense of humour, and a few nerves, they’ll be guided by professional comedian Anthony J Brown in the weeks up to the event.
Anthony is a Metro Edinburgh Festival Award Winner and former BBC New Comedy Award runner-up and will host the evening.
The line-up consists of Safiya Saeed, John Henshall from Travelmaster, Dominic NG from Bauer Media and Martin Havenhand from Switched on Solutions Group. They are all stepping up, taking a deep breath, and doing something completely new to help raise vital funds for Sheffield’s NHS.
Freya Kingswood, Community and Events Fundraising Manager at Sheffield Hospitals Charity:
“We’re delighted to bring Chuckles for Charity back for a second year. The night is a brilliant way of bringing people together for a night of laughter and to raise money for a fantastic cause. Our line-up is full of funny, brave characters and we can’t wait to see what they all bring to the stage!”
Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased through the Steamworks website.
