Commenting on the sudden death of Sheffield corporate lawyer Neil Thompson, Richard Wright, executive director of Sheffield Chamber of Commerce said: -People at the Chamber who knew Neil are shocked and saddened to hear of his death.

We would like to offer our sincere condolences to his friends and family during this difficult time. -Neil was an advocate of international trade and worked tirelessly in corporate finance, helping businesses to access the funding needed to support growth. He was involved in many business initiatives which benefited the Sheffield City Region and we will forever be indebted to him. -The amount of messages of condolence already sent is testament to the person Neil was and the amount of lives he had a positive impact upon.
