Contract portal launched by Sheffield Chamber

13th November 2012

Sheffield Chamber of Commerce has introduced a free tenders portal to its website to promote contract opportunities for members.

The page gives companies access to a variety of business deals, from construction and manufacturing contracts to supplying new furniture and IT systems, developing websites and assisting with event management. Members can also upload any products or services they are looking for to receive responses directly from other members. Amanda Pilgrim, head of business development at the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce, said: -The new portal is an easy and free way for Chamber members to access what contract opportunities are available with the added bonus of keeping business local. -It doesn't matter how big or small the tender we want members to add it to this portal. We would like to think businesses will want to use fellow Chamber members first when looking for a partner for a project or event. We are already seeing local companies benefiting from this. Members can quickly add tender opportunities to the website outlining key information, contact details and deadlines for submissions. The new portal will have tenders from members looking to do business locally as well as contracts from other local, regional and national organisations' procurement teams. To view the tenders portal visit the Sheffield Chamber website www.scci.org.uk and click on the member centre tab.
