Coronavirus Impact on Business Activity - Complete our Business Survey Part 2

30th July 2020

Covid-19 has impacted on us all. Businesses need help, support and guidance to recover, rebuild and thrive again.

Understanding the impact that Covid-19 has had on local businesses and how they have responded during the lockdown will provide hugely valuable data and insights to help us to build a stronger and more inclusive economy.

This is the second business survey undertaken by the Sheffield Business Response Group. The first survey provided us with some really important information that has changed the way businesses are supported. For example, many businesses highlighted that they found the it difficult to keep track of government guidance. We listened and have responded by:

  • Updating businesses regularly when there are changes to the government guidance for businesses and created a hospitality guide to help businesses in that sector understand the guidance to open up safely.
  • Created a simple pavement café scheme application form and process to allow businesses to utilise their outside space.
  • Added content to Business Sheffield’s workshop programme to meet the needs of businesses responding to the survey.

More detail on the results of the first survey can be found here.

As more businesses reopen we need to look at the needs of different businesses and sectors in our economy. Your experience matters. Your insights matter. Your business matters.

Please complete this survey now to help us to start shaping the future.
