Sheffield-based agency Counter Context has been named as one of the Top 50 PR Agencies in the North of England by research company Mustard.

Sheffield-based agency Counter Context has been named as one of the Top 50 PR Agencies in the North of England by research company Mustard.

The list is an annual league table of the biggest agencies in the North and is compiled using independently verified financial data such as balance sheet funds, turnover, growth and headcount.

It is the first time Counter Context has submitted data for the league table which is run in partnership with Prolific North, an online digital, marketing, tech, creative and media sector news site. The agency was listed at number 17 and is the fifth highest ranked agency in Yorkshire and number one in South Yorkshire.

Counter Context, which has offices in Sheffield, Manchester and London, supports some of the most transformative energy, property and transport schemes in the UK.

Over the past two years, Counter Context has been part of a small delivery team supporting an application to build the UK’s largest solar farm. Earlier this year, plans for the £450m venture were approved by the Business Secretary Alok Sharma and the team continues to support the solar farm’s operators with both UK and international PR.

The agency, which employs 25 people, is also supporting several other private businesses working in the renewable energy, regeneration, and planning sectors.

Alexis Krachai, Managing Director at Counter Context, said:

“This year, for the first time we’ve put our best foot forward and have jumped straight in at number 17. The Prolific North/Mustard Top 50 PR Agencies list is an important industry measure of the most important agencies outside London.

“We’ve been supporting clients and projects for more than 25 years and our calm and considered communications work is helping to shape a better tomorrow. Our PR work is recognised across both the private and public sector and this listing is another fantastic external validation. I’m incredibly pleased and proud for the team.”
