Crosspool Juniors Visit Hallam FC

13th October 2015

We were delighted to welcome Crosspool Juniors U8's to our Non League Day celebrations on Saturday.

Before watching the NCEL Divison One home game v Hemsworth Miners Welfare the U8's side trained on the pitch, walked out with the players and were also ball boys throughout, which saved a few of the usual 'ball chasers' legs on the far side of the ground, so they were very grateful for the help. Crosspool's U8 manager Chris Pryor said "The team were delighted to be been invited to Hallam for Non-League Day. Our players range from 6-8 years old and are at the beginning of a long relationship with Football and the experience fueled their passion for the game. There was great excitement amongst the players about being mascots and walking out on to the pitch with the players in front of a huge crowd at the Oldest Football Ground in the World." Matt Franklin of Crosspool Juniors also commented "We'd like to thank Hallam FC for their amazing hospitality, the kids loved it and the adults who came along with them were very impressed. I'm sure many of us will be back at Hallam very soon." Hallam manager Ryan Hindley said "It was fantastic to have another junior side up to Sandygate. Grass roots Football is where my heart is, so to see a local junior team so enthusiastic about being at Hallam was a great advert for Football at this level." We'd like to wish Crosspool Juniors U8's good luck for their upcoming season. We'll be running 'Juniors to Hallam' again, so if you would like to bring your junior team up to Hallam FC to one of our games then please get in touch for details. www.hallamfc.co.uk rich@hallamfc.co.uk
