Double appointment for John Holland

14th January 2016

Sheffield prestige car dealership John Holland has added to its ranks with the appointment of two new staff members.

Wesley Snoad, 34, from Hitchin in Hertfordshire, and James Sharp, 36, from Barnsley, join as a buyer and a sales consultant respectively. The appointment of Wesley sees the buying department of the company expand to five full-time employees, who all specialise in sourcing quality sports and prestige vehicles from throughout the country for the company's showroom, which is based on Meadowhall Road. Wesley's passion for cars inspired him to enter the motoring industry, which he's been working in for almost 16 years. He spent eight years working for Audi, including six years as a sales manager at the manufacturer's Ridgeway showroom in Oxfordshire, and has previously worked for Land Rover and Peugeot. James, meanwhile, joins as a sales consultant, and brings with him a wealth of sales experience in the motoring industry. After starting at Harratts Volvo in Wakefield as a valeter at the age of 15, James remained at Harratts for 15 years, working his way up to the role of senior sales consultant. He worked at Ray Chapman Motors in York before returning to Harratts and then taking on his new role at John Holland. James said: -I'm delighted to be working for John Holland as I am a car lover and I've always wanted to sell special vehicles. -Seeing the cars that come in and out of the showroom made me realise that it'd be a great place to work and I can't wait to drive the cars, meet new people and get settled into my new role. Wesley said: -Looking around at the people I'm going to be working with, it's clear there's a lot of experience here, making John Holland a fantastic place to work. -I have already been given a lot of freedom to flourish as a buyer, whereas before there was always a lot of red tape which comes with working for a more corporate organisation. -I'm extremely excited to work for John Holland, at the same time broadening my experience of the buying industry. John Holland managing director, Mark Holland, said: -It's fantastic news for the company to be taking on two new full-time members of staff. -Both Wesley and James bring with them a wealth of industry experience to add to the already strong team here at John Holland. -The appointments come off the back of a fantastic year for the company, and are testament to the business's continued growth and expanding customer base. John Holland currently employs 27 members of staff, a figure which has grown by 4 in the past 12 months. For more information on John Holland visit www.johnhollandsales.co.uk.
