Double Fraud Award Scoop for Westfield Health

Westfield Health has reinforced its position as a dedicated counteract of health insurance fraud by winning two industry awards.

For the second year running, the Sheffield based health insurer was named Cash Plan Investigation Company of the Year, jointly with another company, at this year's Health Insurance Counter Fraud Group (HICFG) Conference. Julie Gill, Executive Director Operations at Westfield Health, said: -Winning the Cash Plan Investigation Company of the Year for the second year in a row is a great achievement. It shows that our hard work has a significant impact on countering fraud in the health insurance sector. And Westfield Health was doubly successful when Claims Investigator Diane Oxley won the Cash Plan Investigator of the Year award. Julie said: -I'm really delighted for Diane, who works tirelessly with the whole team to identify, resolve and prevent fraud. It's fantastic that our employees have been recognised for their hard work in clamping down on fraud in our industry. The awards are presented to mark the achievements of health insurers dedicated to preventing fraud within healthcare. The HICFG is an independent association made up of more than 30 health insurers and working in partnership with the City Of London Police, Insurance Fraud Bureau and NHS Protect.
