Dronfield rugby prop Ben Ironmonger has found another way to support his team mates Away from the pitch he's a commercial litigation solicitor - and has persuaded his community-spirited company to support his club.

Leading Sheffield commercial and employment law specialists Ironmonger Curtis Law have now announced a sponsorship deal with Dronfield RUFC. Ben, 33, joined the amateur club, one of Derbyshire's most successful, in September 2015 after retiring from playing American Football. -I'm proud to say the club is thriving and is very committed to encouraging new talent via its youth teams, said Ben. -Our Senior First XV is currently battling for promotion in Midlands 2 Division, so far this season the Second XV have won four matches and lost only one, and the Colts, Junior and Mini sides are all growing in player numbers, ability and confidence. -I knew Ironmonger Curtis was keen to support local grassroots sport and spoke to the partners about how the firm could be involved. Said Trevor Ironmonger: -Thanks to Ben, we've been able to follow the club's progress and development for a number of seasons and when the opportunity arose to assist with sponsorship, we were only too pleased to oblige. -Grassroots clubs and associations like Dronfield RUFC are so important to the region, and we see a real value in supporting their continued growth and development. Based at Gosforth Fields in Dronfield, the club attracts players from across South Yorkshire and North East Derbyshire, and plays games throughout the Midlands. Club chairman Terry Hensby commented: "Successful partnerships with businesses like Ironmonger Curtis are vital to the continued success of rugby clubs like ours. It's great to have professional brands, based in our region, support us in this way. For Dronfield RUFC's fixture lists and how to join, go to www.pitchero.com/clubs/dronfield
