Efficiency North move to Carbrook

8th December 2021

Social housing consortium Efficiency North relocate to Carbrook office

Efficiency North is delighted to have picked up the keys to their new Sheffield office location.

From today their new registered office address will be Collaboration Works, 2 Carbrook St, Carbrook, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, S9 2JE.  The building was formerly the Sheffield office of one of their social housing landlord members, Together Housing Group.

Works commenced today to refurbish the 2-storey building, which sits opposite the legendary Sheffield Forgemasters steelworks on Carbrook St in the heart of Sheffield’s historic industrial quarter.

The location couldn’t be more convenient, situated at the end of Carbrook St that opens on to the A6178 Sheffield Road, leading directly to the M1 Junction 34 South about 1 mile away, with the M1 Junction 34 North also easily accessible via several other routes.  The Five Weirs Walk also provides a scenic 20-minute walking route from Construction Works to Meadowhall Shopping Centre. It's also well served by public transport links with Meadowhall Interchange nearby, the Carbrook/IKEA Sheffield tram stop and bus services from the city and Rotherham and the new TramTrain service from Sheffield to Rotherham.

The refurbishment works now underway by R. H. Fullwood will remodel the building to support Efficiency North's new agile working operating model – Collaborate, Communicate, Contemplate.  The model will also continue to focus on action to reduce the organisation's carbon footprint. The car park is already being equipped with charging points from a green energy supplier to support their staff electric vehicle scheme.

Having implemented remote working systems for some time now, Efficiency North is able to maintain business as usual services to members and contractors whilst they continue with preparations to move in.

It is expected that all works will be completed ready to take full occupation by the end of January 2022.  The team look forward to welcoming members, suppliers and wider network when the building is ready.
