Expanding electrical wholesaler appoints new Sheffield Branch Manager

Electrical wholesaler Burnand XH has appointed a new Sheffield branch manager.

Taking up the post at the Wincobank, Sheffield based company is Wayne Humphreys. The electrical wholesaler is part of the SCX group and supplied all the control and automation components for SCX's best known projects: the retractable roofs at Wimbledon and the world-first dividing retractable pitch at Tottenham Hotspur's new London stadium. Wayne replaces Dave Thorpe, who retired after more than 40 years with the company. Wayne joined Burnand XH in 2012 as an internal sales representative and has gradually worked his way up to branch manager. He brings years of electrical wholesale experience to the role, thanks to his service with Burnand XH, and his previous role at Inman Electrical in Sheffield, where Wayne worked as a sales representative until it ceased trading in 2012. Burnand XH has branches in Sheffield, Hull and Scunthorpe, and has recently launched an e-commerce offering that serves customers across the UK. Its focus is in electrical control and automation solutions, with a particular emphasis on Schneider Electric products, due to its certified Industrial Automation Distributor status and close partnership with the manufacturer. Wayne said: -I'm looking forward to playing my part in the continued expansion of Burnand XH as it grows revenues and extends its reach across the UK. Thanks to our new focus on digital marketing, we are already seeing signs of increased brand awareness, both nationwide and in the local regions that our branches serve.
