Families set for a fun-filled summer at Magna

20th July 2017

Magna is preparing to host a variety of fun-filled activities for all the family this summer.

The South Yorkshire visitor attraction will launch 'Magna Mayhem', Yorkshire's largest indoor inflatable adventure zone from 14 to 25 August, as well as the popular Aqua-Tek outdoor water park which will open for the duration of the summer holidays. Children can also run wild in the Sci-Tek adventure play area, which features trampoline nets, spinning bowls, twisted slides as well as rockets and castles. A range of indoor activities including workshops and guided tours will also run throughout the holidays. Education manager Stuart Ballard said: -We recognise it's often challenging for parents to keep the children entertained throughout the summer holidays so we're always looking for new ways of attracting visitors. -Whether the children are jumping free in the inflatable adventure zone or creating an almighty splash in our outdoor water park, there's plenty of activities to keep the kids happy. Throughout the summer holidays, families can find out more about homemade rockets at Magna's Rocket Show, watch a forge demonstration to see a blacksmith at work, and head on a guided tour to find out about the history and heritage of the old Templeborough steelworks. Visitors can also experience the four galleries of fire, water, air and earth, where children have the opportunity to get hands-on with the activities, including operating real life JCBs and creating patterns with air and water cannons. Stuart said: -When it comes to the weather in Britain nothing is guaranteed, so it's crucial there's plenty of things happening inside for all the family to enjoy. -We've got everything covered from tours to exhibitions and shows, making it a memorable and jam-packed summer holiday. Magna, which is housed in the former Templeborough steelworks near junction 34 of the M1, is an award-winning visitor attraction and hosts regular school visits. The venue also hosts corporate events for brands including Mercedes, Royal Mail, Kia Motors and HSBC, and organises its own events too. Admission charges for Magna apply.
