Family Fun Day Inspires 1,400 Children and Families across the Region

Sheffield Hallam University's second annual Family Fun Day played host to hundreds of children and families across the region who enjoyed a BBQ, free exhibits, arts and crafts, and sporting challenges.

The free all-day event took place on Friday 27 July at City Campus, and offered children aged 4-13 the chance to try out exciting educational activities led by students and staff from each of the University's four faculties. "This was one of the most diverse community events the University has ever hosted, with everything from arts and crafts, to robotics and radiotherapy. It was a wonderful opportunity to welcome local families to campus where they could have fun, learn new skills and meet Hallam academics and students alike," said Michelle Eccles, part of the University's schools and colleges engagement team.
