Ferndale on Fire for National BBQ Week!

29th May 2014

It's the 18th British BBQ week and this weekend May 31 and June 1, Ferndale garden centre at Coal Aston have got a surprise in store: delicious cook-to-order barbeque food on their coffee shop deck.

Ferndale director Helen Watson says, -We are proud to be big 'buy local' supporters and will be selling meat from our neighbours at Norton-based Moss Valley: Stephen Thompson the Food Hero's home-made award-winning burgers and sausages. Our BBQ chicken is from a local butcher and marinated in a delicious marinade from Ferndale's expanding food shop. For those aspiring outdoor cooks as summer approaches, we are also pleased to announce a range of Jamie Oliver barbeques are now in stock. Last year, more than 5 million BBQs were held during British BBQ week. All food will be cooked to order on the BBQ from 12-3pm on the coffee shop deck on May 31 and June 1. Ferndale coffee shop is open from 9am-5pm Monday Saturday and 10.30am-4.30pm on Sundays with free parking. All food and drink is available to takeaway.
