Firm director pledges to donate money for construction deals written in 2019

11th April 2019

A Midlands Asset Finance (MAF) director has announced the company's plan to donate £25 for every deal transacted with any construction business in 2019.

Newly appointed National Director of Construction Asset Finance, Gary Burns, has initiated this arrangement, working with UK's only charity dedicated to the construction sector, The Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity. Gary said: -Last year, The Lighthouse Club provided £1.25m to the industry to help workers and their families. -The work that the charity is doing is exceptional, and so is the way that they have helped those that work in the sector on such a large scale. The money raised by Gary will be handed over to the charity, more commonly known as The Lighthouse Club, at one of their annual Christmas dinner events in December. Gary added: -I wanted to do something to show that we are supportive in everything that The Lighthouse Club does, and that we understand the importance of the mental and physical health of those that work in one of the country's most vital sectors. The Lighthouse Club is a UK charity that provides financial and emotional support to the construction community. Speaking about the scheme, a spokesperson for the charity said: -The committee of the Nottingham & Derby branch of the Lighthouse Club would like to formally thank Gary and Midlands Asset Finance for their future pledging of donating £25 to our charity for every construction deal sold.
