First Intuition Accountancy Academy

On the 4th and 5th April First Intuition held their Accountancy Academy to help give students with an interest in the profession an insight into the career opportunities and qualifications as well as an opportunity to hear from and meet local employers.

Now in it's fifth year, First Intuition's Accountancy Academy was back face to face in the classroom after having been run as an online event for the previous two years.

The event took place at First Intuition's splendid new offices in Sheffield city centre.

Over the course of 2 days jam packed days, students learned about the different opportunities that existed within the accountancy profession, the different qualifications they can undertake as well as the different routes into the profession.

The students also benefitted from undertaking a business game, where they had to work as a team to create a unique festival and then pitch their ideas to local employers, who then decided on who they would like to invest in.

Kindly supported by Gravitate Accounting and Harris & Co Accountants, the students had the opportunity to find out more about what it would be like to work within the sector and also have mock interviews  and  a CV workshop to help develop vital skills before they enter the world of work.

Overall it was a fantastic 2 days !
