Fragomen’s annual immigration law school set to return this October

12th July 2022

This autumn Fragomen’s UK offices will hold an immigration school for students who are interested in immigration or a career in law.

In 2020 Fragomen held their first immigration law school, primarily to help students who had struggled to secure summer work experience or were disappointed with their A-Level results. Now in 2022, after 2 years of running the programme and receiving fantastic feedback and response, Fragomen's Immagration School is open for registrations for their October programme.

The programme provides a fantastic opportunity for students to discover the pathways into a job in law or within a law firm, how a law firm operates and how Fragomen supports people, either through their responsible business strategy or more directly by helping people to move countries. It is a great way to get some experience that individuals can use to inform decisions about their career and higher education path and to provide interesting experience to put on their CVs and talk about in interviews.

Upon completion, students will have more understanding on:

  • A career in immigration law – the work, the learning and the pathway
  • Fragomen a global law firm – the work we do, UK immigration, managing a law firm, the related tech and innovation
  • Global mobility – what is it and what are the career paths into it?
  • Recruitment – what is involved, what steps do you need to take and what do employers look for?
  • Making a difference – what is Corporate Social Responsibility and what organisations can you get involved with

Who is it for?

It is aimed at those studying for A-Levels or degree level studies (or equivalent) but we look to accept all those who have an interest.

When is it?

It will run on Tuesday evenings, 6 – 8 pm from 4 – 25 October.
