Free business event will encourage local businesses to improve cash-flow

30th October 2013

On 19 November 2013, Natwest, Stopfords Accountants and BRM Solicitors are hosting a free breakfast event at the Casa Hotel in Chesterfield for local businesses as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week 2013 the nation's largest entrepreneurship-focused campaign.

This global event runs from 18-24 November and will encourage current and aspiring entrepreneurs to take a step forward in their plans whether that's starting a business, seizing a new opportunity or finding out more about careers in enterprise. Good cash-flow is essential to businesses wanting to take that step forward and this event will give local businesses an opportunity to learn from expert business advisers how they can maximise cash-flow to help their business realise its full potential. A major restriction on cash-flow is customers who do not pay on time. BRM's debt recovery specialist Shelley Croft-Rayner will explain the low cost methods businesses can use to recover money owed to them and how the likelihood of non-payment can be significantly reduced. Partner at Stopfords, Brian Stopford will give businesses an informative insight into how they can increase cash-flow and profit through management of payment terms, supplier relationships, stock control and forecasts. Mike Millns, Business Specialist at Natwest will discuss the importance of working with an accountant to understand the cash flow requirements of a business and make sure the most appropriate facility is in place to allow the business to trade successfully. Finally, guest speaker Malcolm Hall, Managing Director of Hall Fast will speak about his experiences of growing a successful company and how good management of his cash-flow helped that growth and success. Speaking about the event, Brian Stopford said: -We are delighted to be hosting this collaborative event with BRM Solicitors and Natwest as part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week. It is a great opportunity for us to use our expertise and knowledge to help local businesses in Chesterfield and the surrounding areas improve their cash flow while encouraging business growth. I would strongly encourage people to come along to what promises to be a great event.
