Free February Business Technology Workshops

A series of free technology workshops are being launched next month for small to medium sized businesses. The practical advice sessions will help small businesses get to grips with the latest technology skills to enhance advertising, marketing, social media, workload efficiency and boost their bottom line. The free Business Sheffield information sessions start on February 2nd at the Creative Lounge, The Workstation, Paternoster Row, Sheffield city centre. The sessions are part of a specialist support programme from Business Sheffield designed to help small businesses take the next step in using technology for growth. Kevin Bennett, Head of Enterprise, Business Sheffield, said: -Investing in training is vital to retaining a competitive edge. We are committed to equipping small businesses with the latest technology skills that they need for growth. Topics covered in the half-day workshops include: • Getting more visitors to your website. • Selling products online. • Digital marketing. • Managing your business and workload by using online tools. • Investing in online advertising. To be eligible, individuals must be employed within a small to medium-sized enterprise with less than 250 employees, which has been trading for at least a year and is paying Sheffield business or residential rates or is located on the Advanced Manufacturing Park.
