Free Festive Workplace Safety Toolkit

26th November 2025

As the festive season approaches, many organisations are preparing for end-of-year celebrations, team gatherings and Christmas parties.

While these events can bring connection and morale, they also create well-known risk points for inappropriate behaviour and misconduct. To support employers across the region, OneSource HR have developed the Festive Workplace Safety Toolkit, a practical, contemporary resource designed to help organisations prevent sexual harassment, strengthen safeguarding, and meet their legal duties with confidence.

The toolkit offers clear guidance on how to safeguard people and your business this festive season, with free resources such as a sexual harassment risk assessment, and printable awareness posters. It is built to move employers beyond outdated reminders about alcohol and dress codes, and towards evidence-based strategies that genuinely protect staff and culture.

About OneSource HR

The toolkit has been created by OneSource HR, specialists in sexual misconduct prevention and the creators of the CEASE Framework ® - the UK’s first registered continuous improvement model for tackling workplace harassment. With roots in trauma-informed practice and experience across both public and private sectors, they support organisations to strengthen systems, build culture, and take meaningful steps to reduce harm.

Workplace sexual harassment risk is on the rise

Workplace sexual harassment is not a seasonal issue, but December consistently produces a spike in cases. The legal landscape has also shifted. Under the Worker Protection (Amendment of Equality Act 2010) Act, employers now have a proactive duty to take reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment, not simply respond after the fact.

The consequences of getting this wrong are significant. Calls to ACAS about sexual harassment have risen by almost 40% in the latest reporting period, signalling increased awareness, increased reporting, and increased legal exposure. Tribunal awards for harassment are uncapped, and compensation can be increased by up to 25% if an employer is found not to have met their preventative duty.

For many organisations, this is now a serious operational, financial and reputational risk, but one that can be meaningfully addressed with the right tools and training.

A limited 16-day surprise

In recognition of the global 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence (25 November – 10 December), the toolkit includes a special surprise available for 16 days only, a practical way for organisations to take their next step towards safer, more equitable workplaces.
