Friday Focus Seminar Season Announced

City businesses once again gathered for Sheffield Chamber's Networking after Hours event kindly hosted at Sheffield Town Hall with Kier.

  With over 60 businesses attending this open networking, informal evening, in the stunning surroundings of Sheffield Town Hall the event was a great success with regular and new networking businesses attending. With networking ever important to company profile raising and finding new business, Networking After Hours has been firmly established in the Chamber events calendar as an opportunity for businesses to form those important contacts. Following the success of Networking After Hours, the Chamber are delighted to launch their new -Friday Focus seminars and workshops, designed to address a specific issues in 60 minutes and provide up-to-date information to companies on key topics. Peter Wright, Solicitor at Taylor Bracewell, gave an exciting taster presentation to assembled delegates at the Town Hall on the first topic to be addressed at the Friday Focus: Social Media & The Law.  The topic addresses recent changes in the Data Protection Act, how companies use your information and target you for specific products and what happens when employees use social media in the wrong way. The seminar will be taking place at Sheffield Chamber of Commerce on Friday 26th October from 7.30am-9.30am with light breakfast refreshments available.
