THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED.

FOR DETAILS, PLEASE CONTACT THE EVENTS TEAM ON 0114 201 8930 The smartphone world is expanding at a rapid pace. Out of 5 billion mobile phones on the planet there are already more than 1.08 billion smartphone users in the world.  That's a lot of people constantly connected to the internet.  It also means that there are a lot of people who expect to be able to get through to you when they want whenever they want, instantly! This session will help answer basic questions including the difference between different operating platforms and why there are different types of apps. We'll cover off the difference between a web app and a device app. The digital buzzword at the moment is about data connected systems so we'll explore the difference between a standalone app and a data connected app, how and why this could help you in business. We'll also be touching on the consequences of the Digital Imperative research document that was published earlier on this year for SMEs. Each of our Friday Focus events aims to cover an important business topic in detail, whether it is promoting current best practice, keeping you up-to-date with legislation or ideas that you can apply to business straight away. Format: 7.30am - 8.00am - arrive, register and enjoy coffee and danishes 8.00am - 9.00am  - presentation including Q & A 9.00am - end Presented by Decode Studios
