Gemma steps up to help lead NetWalking Sheffield

14th May 2014

Sheffield's popular national award winning monthly NetWalking group welcomes keen NetWalker Gemma Daniels as founder Faye Smith's co-leader.

Gemma, who is client services director of leading Nether Edge-based web design agency Hydra Creative is such a big fan of the health and business benefits of Netwalking, she nominated the group for two national awards for networking and business support at Christmas. The unique networking walks were set up two and a half years ago by local marketing and PR specialist and keen walker Faye Smith of Keep your Fork and Lucy Lippolis of Sparkles childcare. Faye offers free marketing and PR advice on this half day each month as a way of 'giving back' to small and start-up businesses who are brilliant at what they do, but often have little experience of selling their businesses to clients or the media and can't afford expert advice. Gemma concluded, -It will be a pleasure to take over the reins from Lucy whose childcare business is now based on the other side of the city. It can be lonely working on your own and numbers grow every month as home workers, freelancers and lone workers all enjoy getting out of their offices, making profitable new contacts and offering fresh ideas and encouragement in the fresh air. NetWalking is promoted by Activity Sheffield as part of the city's Move More campaign http://www.movemoresheffield.com/ The next FREE Fresh Air Friday net-walk starts 9am on Friday 21st March 2014, about 3 miles up the Porter Valley and back from Endcliffe Park, returning to the park café for a well-deserved optional drink on completion. Entrepreneurs, experts and employees welcome! Meet at the café at 9am, rain or shine with suitable clothing, footwear and BUSINESS CARDS. The following Netwalk, on the third Friday of each month, will be on Friday 21st March 2014.
