Get your stomp on with Cavendish Cancer Care's Virtual Sunset Stomp!

1st September 2020

Join in the Virtual Sunset Stomp on 26th - 27th September or 3rd - 4th October to support Cavendish Cancer Care. Enjoy your summer walk, have a Sunset Stack burger, and support those affected by cancer in the community.

Get your stomp on!

Sign up to the Virtual Sunset Stomp and take a walk through the beautiful countryside of Totley to raise money for Cavendish Cancer Care! The Stomp will run over 2 weekends (26th – 27th September & 3rd – 4th October). Do your walk & enjoy a Sunset Stack burger at home!

The Virtual Sunset Stomp will take place across two weekends, 26th – 27th September and 3rd – 4th October, allowing you to choose a day that suits you best. It’s perfect for families who want to walk the dog at the weekend, couples who fancy a stride in the last of the summer, and people who just want a peek at the Peak District. The walk is about 2-3 miles long and takes about 1 hour to complete, starting and finishing at The Cricket Inn, Totley, Penny Lane, S17 3AZ

After that, we encourage you light up the BBQ at home, get creative and make the best burger stack anyone has ever seen! A special prize will be awarded to the best looking burger posted on social media with #sunsetstack (be sure to tag us @cavcancercare with any other photos too!). To enter the Virtual Sunset Stomp, we ask you to make a £5 entry donation. Included in your entry will be:

  • Your route map!
  • Your Sunset Stack Pack, including some meaty & veggie burger inspiration (yum!)
  • A fun and family-friendly
  • Spotify playlist to enjoy on your walk

Your £5 entry donation will go towards supporting local families affected by cancer at this time. Any money raised in sponsorship from your friends and family will help enormously as we continue to support patients, carers, young people and children.

£11 will cover the costs of one play therapy kit for a child affected by cancer.
£27 will cover the costs of 1 hour of professional therapy for someone who has been diagnosed with cancer, or caring for someone with the disease.

Sign up here: cavcare.org.uk/events/the-virtual-sunset-stomp/

You’ll then receive an email with further information on how to make your £5 entry donation and next steps. Thank you so much for your participation and support!
