Global law firm CMS announced as headline sponsor of Sheffield Business Awards 2021

International law firm CMS is reinforcing its decades’ long support for the ‘city of innovation’ by becoming headline sponsor of the Sheffield Business Awards 2021.

Kevin Nudd, senior business development manager, said: “Sheffield has always been a city of innovation, a city of entrepreneurs and a place where hard work is rewarded. That is as true today as it’s ever been.

Sheffield Chamber is partnering with unLTD magazine on the Sheffield Business Awards with a rebooted event, including four new categories, to celebrate the successes of the business community after a challenging year.

After 18 months of virtual working or social distancing in workplaces, this year’s event, on December 9, will be a more informal affair as guests gather to enjoy a night of celebration, networking and culinary delights at the venue best known for hosting Peddler Market.

unLTD editor Richard Fidler said: “CMS are no strangers to the pages of unLTD magazine – we have covered numerous positive news stories from their major office move to their fundraising work in the community raising £18,000 for local youth homeless charity Roundabout.

Sheffield Chamber executive director Alexis Krachai said: “CMS’s commitment to the city, our business community and local economy was evident back in 2019 when they relocated from Victoria Quays and signed a 20-year lease for premises at 1 Charter Square, part of the Heart of the City II project.
