Good Causes Win Competition to Exhibit at SheffEX
27th November 2014
Six good causes have won a competition to exhibit at one of the Sheffield City Region's biggest business events.
Disability Sheffield, Roundabout, St. Luke's Hospice, the Sick Children's Trust, the Northern Refugee Centre and Support Dogs UK have been awarded free stands at SheffEX, which is returning to Ponds Forge International Sports Centre on Monday, 1 December. The competition was designed to give local charities, charitable businesses and social enterprises the opportunity to exhibit to more than 1,500 people from across the City Region. To win, organisations had to write a pitch outlining who they are and why exhibiting at the event would benefit them. SheffEX will feature a huge networking arena, business exhibitions and expert lectures. It follows Sheffield's first one-day business event in June, which attracted top businesses from as far afield as Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Derbyshire. Tony Carroll, an organiser of SheffEX, said: -These five local organisations give a lot to the local community and this is our chance to give them something back. It's about providing them with the opportunity to build new partnerships with businesses and organisations. -SheffEX has really captured the imagination of the regional business community. It's a fantastic opportunity to connect and do deals with organisations from a whole variety of sectors. We're expecting more than 100 exhibitors so it's shaping up to be another very successful event. For more information visit www.sheffex.com.
