Hull based Travel Management Company, Good Travel Management (GTM), have launched a new division to expand into the Exhibitions, Events and Trade Missions market with the launch of GT Events. The new division will build upon the services already provided to corporate clients in this market and comes about through the recruitment of two exhibitions and events specialists to add to the existing team and form a new division of the business, GT Events.

Ian Cutts joins GTM as Events Manager having worked within the Travel sector for over 23 years, spending the last 10 leading a specialist team handling Exhibitions, Trade Missions and Events around the globe. Ian will head up the GT Events division and recently commented on his new position “I’m delighted to be joining Good Travel Management to lead the new events division. I’m really looking forward to bringing together my skills alongside my commercial and supplier relationships to build a new programme as the global events and exhibitions sector starts to rebuild. We start with Medica in Dusseldorf in November 21 and then will be launching our full listing for 2022 shortly.”

Ian will also be joined by Darren Wilkins who will join the team in September. Darren will be working in a Sales and Relationship role and will link in with the existing team at Good Travel Management, as they offer a range of business group services to trade organisations as well as individuals.

Managing Director Kevin Harrison looks forward to the expansion into the Events and Exhibitions sector “We’ve worked in this area for many years however the expertise and connections that Ian and Darren possess will help us to take a major step forward at a time when larger events have been sorely missed from the business scene due to Covid. We are already working on several exhibitions for late 21 and 2022 and the appetite is certainly there. Whilst virtual exhibitions and events where able to bridge a gap during Covid, they do not replace the value and benefit you gain from face-to-face relationship building, learning and experience.”
The new programme will be launching shortly on the GTM website under the banner of GT events.
