Grand Designs in Hackenthorpe

12th October 2015

Two entrepreneurial property developers are bringing a new style of home to the Sheffield property market.

Brett Hinchliffe and Dale Cupitt have brought the industrial flair of a New York loft apartment to two new homes in S12. The business partners have built two semi-detached three bedroomed, three storey homes on Birley Spa Lane, Hackenthorpe and have appointed leading regional estate agency Redbrik to sell and market the properties. The properties are being built to a very high specification and boast concrete floors, exposed breeze block walls, corrugated metal ceiling which all create a warehouse style feel. In addition the properties benefit from underfloor heating throughout, bi-folding doors, triple glazed aluminium windows, stylish kitchens, open planning living area and integrated televisions. Brett said: -We initially bought the land for the properties seven years ago and had plans to build apartments. However our architect, James Gray, asked us if we would be interested in building something different and that's where it all started! -Once we saw his designs we realised that we had to build something stunning. Quite simply there aren't any properties like this available in this area and we feel that we have really built something special. Dale added: -We are really pleased with how plot A has turned out and it will be fully completed by Christmas and then it's very much full steam ahead to complete the property next door. -Property developing is something that we really enjoy doing and this project has been particularly enjoyable as it is so different to anything we have done before. -We are really looking forward to starting viewings and hope that prospective buyers love the properties as much as we have enjoyed building them. Peter Lee, Director at Redbrik Estate Agency, commented: -Brett and Dale have created something very stylish, special and completely new for the area. -They are really passionate developers and they have put so much thought and detail into this development which really shows in every aspect of the houses. -We have never seen anything like these types of properties in this area of Sheffield and indeed they wouldn't look out of place on the Grand Designs programme. -We feel that the properties will attract first time buyers and young professionals alike. They are certainly homes that will impress and viewing is highly recommended to appreciate the style and open plan living that they offer.
