Graysons opens its doors in Hathersage

18th November 2021

Scores of Hope Valley businesses turned out to welcome one of the region’s longest established law firms as it launched a new base in Hathersage.

Graysons Solicitors, which started in Sheffield in 1925 and also has an office on Saltergate in Chesterfield, has taken over the existing Favell Smith and Lawson's private  client practice located at Brunel House on Station Road in Hathersage.

The firm teamed up with Hathersage’s Bank House as it staged a launch event to introduce itself to business people in the area. It was joined at the event by clients and other professionals.

Graysons has been working hard to provide a seamless transition for existing clients whilst offering its services to new clients right across the Hope Valley area.  Favell's staff based in the Hathersage Office have transferred to Graysons.

Peter Clark, managing partner at Graysons, said:

“We’ve been very excited to have the opportunity to serve the people of Hathersage and the wider Hope Valley area and this event gave us the opportunity to meet other local businesses. We are a family firm that likes to give something back to the community it serves and we’re really looking forward to getting involved in village life.”

Graysons Solicitors specialises in property, family law, lifetime planning, wills, estate and trusts, elderly client services, personal injury and clinical negligence.

It was the main sponsor of Ashgate Hospicecare’s recent Forget-Me-Not appeal at Chatsworth House. It also sponsors Sheffield’s renowned “Art in the Gardens" - which is held in the Botanical Gardens every September – and the “Sheffield Young Artists” event which helps nurture the talents of hundreds of school children every year.
