Great Membership - Great Service

3rd June 2013

"I recently made enquiries to Sheffield Chamber to see if i could supply them with Flowers for future events.

I was informed by the Events manager that in order to be a supplier I would need to be a member and she would ask someone to contact me to talk over this with me. "Julie from the Membership team called and arranged a meeting where we discussed thoroughly all the benefits and services i would have access to. Indeed the full package impressed me and was great value for money, I signed up straight away "Julie then became my Account Manager and we talked over my business now and what plans and issues I felt I may have moving forward. One thing was that I needed some admin and social media support as this was taking up all my time when I was just about to get really busy with all my wedding bookings "Thanks to Julie's suggestion, introduction and pointing me in the right direction, I managed to get funding for Sheffield University's Internship programme and Kate, my intern has started with me this week! "In addition to this I have also been receiving support form Lynne in SENTA (Sheffield Enterprise Agency) regarding the growth of my business. SENTA are the Chamber's business growth support organisation and all their advice and support is free. "They have helped me secure funding through the Digital Direction programme and also given me many useful contacts around the city for further business opportunities and networking. "Chamber membership has proved invaluable for me as a sole trader, I have never felt alone with nowhere to turn for advice and support. "I just wanted to say thanks so much and will keep in touch and let you know how I get on. "I am really excited as this is going to help my business no end and they will get some truly fab experience."
