HEADspace - Dispelling the myth |The link between research and business

19th August 2012

Led by - Rachel Barton, Dr Louise Suckley, Liliana Rodriquez, Dr Stephen Dobson This event will dispel the myth behind how universities work with organisations and in particular how research is directly relevant and applicable to business.

It will explore what is it like working with the University? And using examples will illustrate how our work has added value to organisations we have worked with. You will have the opportunity to experience some of the tools that we use to help businesses think about their organisation and understand how we build on these projects to develop research papers and improve our working relationships with businesses. We are a multidisciplinary research team which has been brought together through Innovation Futures, a University project which aims to contribute to the development of a region-wide culture of innovation and to create strong links between businesses and the University. Between us we have worked with more than 50 companies from the manufacturing and service sectors in the last 3 years. To register you place at this event contact Matthew Shields at m.shields@shu.ac.uk or call 0114 225 5081
