Healthcare Technologies Showcase at Sheffield Hallam University

We would like to invite you and your colleagues to our half-day healthcare technologies workshop.

With an emphasis on applied innovation for commercial return & clinical benefit, the event will showcase our diverse range of capabilities relating to the sector, including healthcare practice & multi-disciplinary research, product and packaging design, interaction design, engineering design, advanced materials, and sports engineering. An essential part of the itinerary will be the perspectives presented by clinicians and business partners. Their first-hand accounts of collaboration with the University will illustrate the impact of combining academic expertise with business knowledge and the experience of clinicians. The event will include four 30 minute showcases Showcase 1 - 3D scanning for oncoplastic breast reconstruction, presented by Dr Jon Wheat, Sheffield Hallam University and Mr Amit Goyal, Consultant at Royal Derby Hospital Showcase 2 - SuPPORT 4 All - improving post-operative radiotherapy outcomes in breast cancer, presented by Dr Heidi Probst, Sheffield Hallam University and Dr Chris Bragg, Sheffield Teaching Hospitals Showcase 3 - Exploring Virtual Reality in prosthetics development, presented by Ivan Phelan, Sheffield Hallam University Showcase 4 - Digital pre-operative assessments, presented by Dr Chris Roast, Sheffield Hallam University and Tom Hurrell, Informatics CIS Ltd. Lunch will be provided and you will also get the opportunity to network, book a one-to-one with one of our experts here at the University and take a tour of our cutting-edge facilities based at our Collegiate Crescent campus.
