PACES CAMPUS Buildings Management Mentor The appointment of a Buildings Manager for the Paces Campus is a top priority for High Green Development Trust.

Paces Campus is 5-acre site, the main premises extending to some 52,000 sq ft. At the present time, the Trust does not have the financial resources to employ the required Premises Manager. In the short term, therefore, the Trust is seeking a Mentor, an experienced professional who will advise two volunteer members of the Trust's team and give guidance to the team which also includes a full-time technician and a part-time caretaker/groundsman. The Trust is an Industrial and Provident Society, a co-operative of the resident community enterprises and charities at Paces Campus in High Green, Sheffield., foremost among whom is Paces Sheffield, providing services to children and adults with cerebral palsy and the families, including the Ofsted-rated -Outstanding Paces School. The commitment asked of the Mentor's can be negotiated but will be entirely advisory. The Trust would hope the Mentor, ideally, would be able to advise the two volunteer managers in most or all of the areas below that will eventually form the responsibilities of a full-time, permanent Buildings Manager: 1. Health &Safety including Risk Management & Fire Safety procedures (including responsibility for policies, meetings, incident & accident reporting). IOSH or NEBOSH a qualified 2. Security (responsible for a call-out system for emergencies, security and alarm-related call-outs, keyholder for premises) 3. Buildings & Grounds Management (responsibility for repairs & maintenance and maintenance staff & cleaning maintenance and cleaning/caretaker staff) 4. Compliance (Gas, Water, electrics, asbestos, fire) 5. Procurement & Contract management (gas, electrics, fire equipment, waste disposal, lift, telephones, sanitation, pest control, security, photocopier, franking machine, music licence, business rates, insurance) 6. Space Management (coordinating office/floor/department/desk moves and refurbishment of the building including capital development) 7.
