Hillfoot Multi Metals is now Hillfoot

3rd July 2017

Sheffield-based engineering steel stockholder Hillfoot Multi Metals is pleased to announce it has rebranded and that the company is now known as Hillfoot.

The change has come about as part of increased specialisation within the parent Murray Metals Group and means the Hillfoot business is fully focused on the carbon and alloy steels used by manufacturing and engineering companies. This will allow Hillfoot to concentrate on managing its existing supply chain and further developing routes for sourcing the highest quality steel bar from producers around the world, enabling it to offer customers even greater cost and efficiency savings. All its aluminium extrusion and sheet business is now handled by another Group company, Multi Metals Ltd. Why Hillfoot? The company has been involved in the steel industry since 1923 and has operated a stockholding operation from its Sheffield head office since the 1950s. During that time both the Hillfoot Steel and Hillfoot Multi Metals brands have become renowned for high-quality service, technical expertise and innovation across a range of industries, including the oil & gas, automotive, defence, hydraulics, rail and yellow goods sectors. So, it was a simple choice to stick with the heritage and reputation of the Hillfoot name. What does the change mean for Hillfoot customers? Existing customers should not notice a great deal of difference. The legal entity remains the same, so while the logo and branding on communications may be different, buyers will be dealing with the same company. Hillfoot's account management and technical teams are unchanged, so customers will continue to receive the same exceptional level of service whether they require a large-scale long-term steel supply contract or a quick turnaround on an ex stock item. Similarly, the purchasing team remains exactly the same, so steel mills and sub-contractors will enjoy the same continuity as clients. Should you have any questions about the new name or how it may affect your interactions with Hillfoot, please contact us via Hillfoot.com or 0114 233 1133.
