How Great Managers Use Technology to Drive Productivity
4th April 2017
Are bad managers the cause of poor productivity in the UK? Andy Haldane, the Bank of England's chief economist, seems to think so: -A lack of management quality is a plausible candidate explanation for the UK's long tail of [unproductive] companies.
.. For the same reason most car-owners believe they are above-average drivers, most companies might well believe they have above-average levels of productivity. At this event we want to dive deeper and explore whether bad managers truly are to blame, or whether the underlying problem is simply a lack of good technology to support decision making, efficiency and productivity. Speaking on the day, Jacky Seery and Andrew Sidwell from Creative Business Systems will set the scene and provide insights into how technologies such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) can help managers become great managers by being able to access data & reports faster and provide employees the tools require to work more productively. They will be joined by Alan Easter, Managing Director of Arkom. Alan will share his expertise on how CRM technology works, and how easily accessible, integrated data helps drive revenue and build even better customer relationships. Also attending we will have local business owner Richard Thomas of Rich Tone Music, sharing his story of how he leveraged technology to improve his business' productivity and double turnover.
